I was traveling from Texas to Kansas City, moving all my belongings out of storage, when my trailer tire blew out and the lug nuts sheared clean off. To make matters worse, it was Mother's Day (Sunday), and no one was answering their phones. Not really knowing the area, I found J10 Auto online and saw the 5-star review. However, I must admit I was still skeptical, but I really didn't have many options. Thankfully, Jackie answered the phone on Mother's Day and had me back up and running the very next day. The back story is I had just started a new job in Kansas City and couldn't afford to miss work that Monday. Jackie let me leave my trailer, loaded with all my belongings, safely in his backyard overnight so I could make it to work. When I came back to pick it up, everything was exactly as I left it. Great service, trustworthy people, and someone who genuinely helped me out in a stressful situation. Thanks again, Jackie — you're the man! I know now that anytime I'm in Wichita KS area, I know who to come see.

Common questions and tips from our work with Peck customers.
- What are the signs of worn shocks or struts?
- Watch for a bouncy ride after bumps, a nose that dives hard when you brake, and body lean in turns. Uneven, cupped tire wear and fluid leaking down the shock body are also common signs. Worn shocks and struts can lengthen stopping distance, so they're worth checking before they get worse.
- Why is my steering wheel loose or shaking?
- Looseness usually comes from worn tie rods, ball joints or other steering linkage parts that have developed play. A shake can come from those parts too, or from tires that are out of balance or warped rotors. An inspection lifts the car and checks each joint so the actual cause gets fixed.
Tip
Check your alignment after suspension repairs
Replacing struts, tie rods or ball joints can change your wheel angles. If the alignment is off, the car may drift to one side, and the steering wheel can sit crooked. Tires also wear out sooner on the edges. Get the alignment checked when the repair is done so your new parts and tires last.
